Waystones mod prevent the Nether to generate

Describe the Issue
It's kinda hard to explain and it seems to be an incompatibility with an other mod that i cant identify.
In the overworld everything is fine and i can use the different waystones to travel but entering in the nether, only a few chunks loads (9-15) and everything else is just a giant void. Taking the portal back to the overworld leads to a server crash.
When i remove Balm and Waystones, the Nether loads again with no issues.

Do you use any performance-enhancing mods (e.g. OptiFine) or custom server distributions (e.g. SpongeForge)?
