Describe the Issue

My placed Waystones as well as blocks from the Supplementaries mod within a close radius of the Waystones have disappeared after updating the server jar. At least I’m assuming that’s what is causing it.

This has happened twice now. The first time was after switching from Fabric to Quilt on the server. I had updated a bunch of mods before the switch so I just figured it was a random update bug. I made new Waystones and was able to place them in the same spots without issue, same for the Supplementaries blocks.

But now the exact same thing happened after updating Quilt on the server from 0.20.1 to 0.20.2. I thought it might be a server issue but after extensive discussion with the server hosting support team, they believe it might be a mod issue. So this is me presenting said issue.

I’m new to all of this so if I’m missing something or it’s a compatibility problem with Quilt I have no idea but I want to help however I can to solve this.

Do you use any performance-enhancing mods (e.g. OptiFine) or custom server distributions (e.g. SpongeForge)?

It sounds like the chunk may have gotten corrupted and regenerated if nearby blocks from multiple mods were removed while unaffected elsewhere. Usually this would show up in the log as an error. The only other explanation would be that you accidentally switched from Waystones to the unrelated spinoff mod Fabric Waystones or vice-versa, though that wouldn't explain Supplementaries blocks disappearing.

This is very unlikely to be a Waystones related issue since Waystones has nothing to do with the Quilt jar or it being updated. Since it started happening after switching to and updating Quilt, you could try contacting them to figure out what's going on.
