Perhaps because of the arrival at the village range.
The game loads to and then crashes.

Something is trying to spawn a waystone with an invalid facing ("down"). This is most likely caused by whatever mod generates that village or a datapack.

Closing since this is not caused by Waystones itself and Minecraft 1.16 is no longer supported.
