I love the idea of isolated weather and the wind and everything, but I miss watching gentle snow and listening to the rain. It seems like all I get are brief spats of rain and then it's done. It seems to be based on the Minecraft day rather than the player's perception of time. Could the scale(?) of the weather be adjusted so that it lasts longer and changes more slowly?

Its somewhat location dependant, living near hot and cold biomes / water might cause more precipitation, also setting "storms when" to global overcast will cause vanilla rain to happen which lasts longer, and be light rain.
