Noticeable FPS drop with Weather 2 installed

I usually get 60+fps with my tech mod setup, however as soon as I install this mod, it severely drops to about 20-30, even without storms nearby. I have a decently powerful computer (core i5 4200m 2.5Ghz cpu, nVidia 750m graphics card, and a recently-upgraded 16GB of RAM. If you have any solution to this, that would be great.

Same here, attempted using the mod without optifine and tested with better fps then nothing and still yielded same results, right now I've had to remove it, and I also had the same thing with Mo creatures where it halved my FPS, wonder when the owner shall reply, from what I saw it's usually when he releases betas.

Same issue here, I use 58 mods and it runs 60+ then installed and its at 35-40 which is okay but for my friend who wants to use the modpack I made its an issue otherwise its a wonderful mod!

Specs:

i7-3720QM 2.60 Ghz but overclocked to 3.3-3.4
16 GB ram Minecraft gets 10 Gb
Nvidia GT 650M

If theres a way to help this? Thanks!

Try to change the storms/cloud/particle effects in EZ GUI to low or none.

It also happened with the absolute lowest settings.

Just look over and have you guys ever dedicate more ram then default amount of ram. This might be the issue as you do need to up the dedicated ram for Minecraft. I set mine to about 8 to 10 in the twitch app with more then 100 mods installed and have my rendering set to 12 or 18 (just guess the amount because I have not touch that for a while)

I think the core i5-4200M is the reason why causing the drop. The intel core which has the word 'M' means ultra low power, which is not suitable for this mod. The solution that I could think of is buying an non-ultra low power CPU such as:" U, H, HQ, etc" or upgrade your hardware.

Yeah I've noticed, I'm also using a pentium 3558u on a computer designed for win10. Plus I can't even change the RAM.

You can't remove the ram sticks, or you can't change Minecraft's allocated RAM? The latter can be changed via MultiMC, the former I don't believe is possible, because I highly doubt any sane computer company would solder the RAM to the motherboard of a laptop.

Also I think the old tornado mod should get updated to 1.7.2/1.7.10

I figured out how to get the 3D radar working on 2.2 which is cool, plus I like sometimes get little to no lag, just use 1.7.10 or 1.6.4 since 1.12.2 is laggy on some pcs.
