since the world from the first log was modded to generate older worldgen, at this point I decided to make a new fully default world with only this mod, and sit in it at night in survival for an hour, occasionaly trying to teleport any spawned angels to me. no angels showed up. the log from that: https://paste.ee/p/mYk0a
catacombs did generate, so I checked those out and at least they spawned there.
