I recalled this mod from a while back and a few months ago I decided I would make a Modpack that I personally will enjoy having your mod in... Well since the modpack is nearing version 1 finish I am running around getting permissions and then I recalled a few things about your mod I couldn't seem to understand but maybe you would possible change?

  1. Angels have a Max HP spawn but they never seem to go about like 10 hearts but I would like to see them with 100 hearts as I put their hp to 200. I am guessing its a Probability chance of various hps but I can't seem to tell any difference killing many angels or you set a cap I didn't notice yet.
1b) Could you add so theirs a Min HP?

  2. I am making my own tools for my own mod. I am guessing higher types above diamond count.
2b) Could it be added an override to min level of pick? As an example the first level of tools in my mod will be above Diamond and it would be fun if it were able to be say
The min pickaxe required to hurt angels by default is diamond but by changing default to a number defines their hardness
Min. Pickaxe required to Hurt Angels=default
    to
Min. Pickaxe required to Hurt Angels=5
    Meaning 2 levels above diamond
I look at it as a Run for your life till you can hurt them kind of scenario adding a much more terrifying feel to them above their already scary contexts XD.

  3. Lastly is Player Death. Could it be added that when a player dies for any reason a Angel will spawn as a configurable option 'off' by default. I would love to make it so it is like a death chest or a gravestone mod like thing but more annoying? Maybe its stupid but maybe onspawn the Angel checks if it is holding any items defining if it should despawn as normal or stay till killed.

These are just a few thoughts I had not saying I may use them as the 2nd I probably wouldn't use with 3rd as it could be cruel perhaps but I thought I would ask if you may consider them. If not still enjoy the mod but I would love to hear what you think

Remaining Features:

  • Harvest Level per difficulty setting (default: 0->-1(any weapon of any level), 1->Iron, 3->Diamond
  • Spawn angels on player death (default: false)

  1. What version of MC is your pack running? I am currently working in Minecraft 1.8 and that is where most of these features will be implemented
  2. There is a config value called 'Maximum Angel Health'. This is what dictates the initial health when angels spawn. There is no range, it is always this variable.
  3. I can add config variables on a per difficulty setting where you can specific a minimum pickaxe harvest level per difficulty.
  4. I can indeed add that as an option, but it will be disabled by default. NOTE: When you get infected by an angel and die by that inner angel, an angel is spawned in your place (optionally with you name and inventory contents).

Features to add:

  • Be more detailed in the initial spawn health description
  • Harvest Level per difficulty setting (default: 0->-1(any weapon of any level), 1->Iron, 3->Diamond
  • Spawn angels on player death (default: false)

I just fixed the description of the health. It now reads something like:
"The spawn health of an Angel. Also is the maximum health of an angel when a player is infected."
"Angel Health" = 20

I hope to start testing the pack with my friends to find balances as it will be Hardcore Questing Mode type. Its for MC 1.7.10(as of now). I am working on my own Mod to put in the pack and it may be possible others in the group may make their own mods for the pack. There is one other from the community that works on his own mod that I have already added. Would you be willing to port it back to 1.7.10? Not sure when I may upgrade as I am no brilliant coder as of yet, and have some very technical 'Visions' to work on. I am planning it for the FTB Launcher however, if it gets approved. It's a process after all XD

Cool on your change too. It did feel misleading the Max HP. Maybe it just felt they were weaker than they should be.

That change was just config changes, but the other two will only be in 1.8. I only go back to my 1.7.10 if there is a major crash to fix. All new features, once i start porting, go into the next version.

Sweet just the same. I'll look forward to those adds for the 1.8 edition. Appreciate the adds, I can feel the fun already XD.
