Currently the wolf armor item is only able to be enchanted with generic breakable item enchants. This was never the intent.

Describe the solution you'd like
Wolf Armor should be able to be enchanted with various enchantment types, such as protection, respiration, fire aspect, smite, etc. The enchantment effects should be the same as though they were applied to a piece of armor worn by any other entity, or as a weapon wielded in the main hand.
Implementation of this functionality might require coremod or mixin implementations, or a dependency upon a custom enchantment api for conciseness.

Apparently this works in 1.12, so I'm moving it to Legacy

Apparently had been fixed in c45261a
