Information

Minecraft version: 1.20
Modloader: Forge / Fabric
Fabric loader version: 1.14.21
Environment: [Singleplayer] / Multiplayer

Mod name: Your Items Are Safe
Mod version: v3.4

Description

It seems that dying in the End's void does not spawn a "grave" near your death site, despite saying it does.

The Minecraft logs specify the following:

[12:07:48] [Server thread/INFO]: smx has made the advancement [The End?]
[12:07:48] [Render thread/INFO]: [CHAT] smx has made the advancement [The End?]
[12:07:49] [Render thread/INFO]: Loaded 42 advancements
[12:07:49] [Server thread/INFO]: Scanning for legacy world dragon fight...
[12:07:49] [Server thread/INFO]: Found that the dragon has not yet been killed in this world.
[12:07:53] [Server thread/INFO]: [smx: Set own game mode to Survival Mode]
[12:07:53] [Render thread/INFO]: [CHAT] Set own game mode to Survival Mode
[12:08:00] [Server thread/INFO]: smx fell out of the world
[12:08:00] [Render thread/INFO]: [CHAT] You died, but your items are safe in a chest at your death location.
[12:08:00] [Render thread/INFO]: [CHAT] smx fell out of the world
[12:08:01] [Server thread/INFO]: Async chunk loading for player smx completed
[12:08:01] [Render thread/INFO]: Reloading pipeline on dimension change: END => OVERWORLD

Again, the chest does not spawn.

I recommend fixing this to either:

  1. Not spawn the chest. People won't go searching for their loot at the bottom of the world, but find nothing. Or...
  2. Spawn a chest at the nearest available location. You could create a small "platform" (e.g. a single cobblestone block) that the chest sits on at y = 1.

Thank you for opening the issue and giving the mod a try! This has been fixed in version 4.0 of Your Items Are Safe. The chest is created above the death coordinates, with a cobblestone platform.
