Right-clicking wand twice in the air sets pos2 to 0,0,0

When I right click the axe twice in the air (or out of clicking range of a block), it sets pos2 to 0,0,0. This can unintentionally select millions of blocks.

Using WorldEdit v6.1.4-SNAPSHOT (Forge)

need exact versions of worldedit and forge, unable to reproduce this.

I realized it only happens when SpongeForge is installed. (1.10.2-2052-5.0.0-BETA-1680)

possibly an issue with spongeforge then, because it's not happening with just forge. don't have time to test now though
