Brush's Don't Work

Hiya, i have a wierd problem where when i type the following command or any brush command: //brush sphere stone 5 or anything it wont work. In the chat it looks like it works by saying: Sphere brush shape equipped (5). in pink however nothing in the console and upon right clicking on the ground it wont work, nothing appears.
