WorldEdit Version

7.2.7+9f3e795

Platform Version

Purpur (git-Purpur-1171) 1.16.5 (Implementing API version 1.16.5-R0.1-SNAPSHOT)

Confirmations

  • I am using the most recent Minecraft release.
  • I am using a version of WorldEdit compatible with my Minecraft version.
  • I am using the latest or recommended version of my platform software.
  • I am NOT using a hybrid server, e.g. a server that combines Bukkit and Forge. Examples include Arclight, Mohist, and Cardboard.
  • I am NOT using a fork of WorldEdit, such as FastAsyncWorldEdit (FAWE) or AsyncWorldEdit (AWE)

Bug Description

Using FAWE or WorldEdit, WorldGuard and Towny breaks protection.
I have not tested WorldGuard 1.17

I have tested:

  • Towny-0.97.2.0 (Latest release)
  • towny-0.97.2.17 (Pre-release)
  • towny-0.97.2.18 (Latest pre-release)

Expected Behavior

well, not breaking things that it shouldn't

Reproduction Steps

  1. Install FAWE or WorldEdit, any version.
  2. Install WorldGuard
  3. Install Towny (Towny-worldguard does not fix this, any version)
  4. Join the server, create a region and protect it, put some props like ITEM_FRAMES, PAINTING, ARMOR_STAND, and I don't know more.
  5. Do /rg bypass and try breaking them, it will break even it says that you can't.
(PD: You need to bypass towny wild protection too, for example giving permission towny.*)

Anything Else?

This looks like very much not a WorldEdit issue at all?

I'm most certain that you are correct, I did open this just in case.
And so towny devs could reply here maybe.
UPDATE:
NEVERMIND, IT WAS INDEED TOWNY, after debating a bit with the dev, we finally got to the source of it and it's fixed now.
