Chest from pasted schematics do not retain contents.

I created a construction in 1.5.2 which contained chests with items. I upgraded to 1.6.2. I loaded and pasted the schematic onto my server, and the chests are empty, without the items they once held. They had items before, when i pasted in 1.5.2.
