On PlotMe servers, you can abuse the /repl command to grief plots (protected areas) by right clicking on the ground to replace blocks. Even if the plot isn't yours.

EG:
Select an area in a protected place where you are not trusted.
Type /repl stone or any block you would like
Right click the ground or blocks surrounding you.
You will see that the protected blocks are replaced with the block you've replaced it to, and is visible to the whole server.

What version of Worldedit and plotme are you using? all block changes in WE go through the same code, so this seems like it'd be a plotme issue. Especially if they are still using their old gmask solution which was never very good at protection.
