When other players on the server are out travelling and mark a waystone, a waypoint pops up on my screen.
It would be nice to be able to set the waypoints to either only appear when I activate the waystone, or to make the waypoints automatically marked as Global, thanks!

Apparently this occurs when Sharestones are placed.
