Why is the sound quality for some of the instruments so s#@!?

I'm trying to play a relaxing celtic melody on the harp item, but it just ends up sounding like old 8-bit chiptune. Is sustain not viable in Minecraft? You have to get better sound files because the harp and lyre items are seriously lacking 😭
