Just a suggestion, would love to see this come to fabric!

There's a similar mod for Fabric here. I currently have no plans to create a Fabric port, I'm afraid. While I'm not opposed to making one, I need to consider my capacity.

Heh, I actually wanted to try that one, but no 1.21.4, you can never win! I'll look for other gameplay solutions. And I completely understand, take care!
