Fix missing texture race condition

Indeed, that is why I referred to it as a race condition - perhaps you can try The 1.12.2 Pack to see the broken textures in action, although results can vary within the same modpack using different hardware.

The biggest issue with this (and most likely why Thema didn't touch this) is that I think I don't even have a way to debug this >.> So unless I somehow figure out why this is happening, it might be a really hard fix.

No worries - it is not urgent. What about simply changing the way the textures are applied?
