Crashing with Create's new update. 6.0.0

Was told to report this crash to this project instead.

In summary, loading the game in a modpack w/ Yung's Cave Biomes and Create 6.0.0 crashes the game upon attempting to start. I have also tried this with both Create 6.0.0 and Yung's Cave Biomes on a single instance with NOTHING else and get the same crash.

Do you know why they told you to report it here instead? I thought I wrote the mixin such that it shouldn't break compat with other mods, but I could be wrong.

It's not officially released on CurseForge nor Modrinth, but there are JAR releases on the GitHub page itself. It's a (Neo)Forge fork of Nvidium, which is officially released on Modrinth for Fabric and Quilt.

After disabling it, the issue still persists. I even disabled Supplementaries, which I saw appear in a specific line in a crash log, and it still crashed on game initializing.

I noticed that OP has Supplementaries 3.1.18, so I don't think it's directly caused by Supplementaries. Moonlight Lib, maybe? I'm just assuming at this point.

I'll attempt to isolate my mods to find which one is causing the issue tomorrow if I have time.

I'm experiencing the same issue, but I don't have Create installed. In fact, my modpack was running smoothly overall, until I attempted to install Acedium.

I already created a support ticket in the Discord server regarding this crash here.

I can confirm Create + this mod does not cause the crash. Can y'all both try and isolate the mod causing the issue?

@Cicopath is Acedium not an officially released mod? When googling it I only find a github page.

@yungnickyoung UPDATE: I had a little spare time to test things out, and the crash appeared to ceased when I disabled Chunk Animator v1.3.7. I found this after already disabling all Moonlight-related mods, including the library itself and all dependents such as Supplementaries, Amendments, etc. (i.e. disabling all Moonlight-related mods did not resolve the crash).

Interestingly, testing these two on a minimal instance with their necessary dependencies, the minimal instance test did not instigate a crash.

I decided to re-enable all of my mods except for Chunk Animator (Acedium was enabled), and the instance completed loading without a crash.

I can't help but wonder if another mod is conflicting with Chunk Animator and YUNG's given that the two loaded fine on a minimal instance?

New find: Using YUNG's API (Cave Biomes, TerraBlender, and GeckoLib disabled), Chunk Animator, and Embeddium altogether causes a crash. Below are the logs:

EDIT 1: Albeit, it appears that even without YUNG's, Embeddium and Chunk Animator result in a crash ๐Ÿ˜ณ
EDIT 2: turns out Embeddium and Chunk Animator have been incompatible this entire time. Kind of weird that the crash log suspected YUNG's to be the issue

Oh great, so it's another case of Forge falsely blaming my mod for others' crashes. Love that lol. I'll have to see if I can adjust things on my end to avoid being blamed for others' crashes, but I'm not sure it's feasible.

Thanks for taking time to look into this btw. I'll be leaving this issue open until I'm (hopefully) able to prevent my mod from being blamed.

Another reported issue from a completely different mod, Thirst Was Taken: ghen-git/Thirst-Mod#196. not sure of specifics

The specifics were exactly as I mentioned, though I did isolate it to crash with JUST Thirst Was Taken & YUNG's API & YUNG'S Cave Biomes... so I'm wondering if it's more on Thirst's end, as Supplementaries, YUNG's API & YUNG'S Cave Biomes all worked fine without the Thirst mod

Although if we're getting inconsistent crash results across a myriad of mods blaming YUNG's API or Cave Biomes, I wonder if some other common API or Library mod might be messing with it all... Moonlight Lib, Gecko Lib, or Architectury perhaps?

No, from what I've seen it's a Forge issue. Basically any other crash is being blamed on Cave Biomes - I've had this happen before with Ribbits as well. I'm not sure exactly why - maybe because Forge likes to reload the resource manager upon another mod failing to initialize, but that results in a rendering-related issue being reported instead due to my Sheets mixin? Regardless, hopefully I'll be able to work around it soon.

Everything was working fine till I added Supplementaries, then i can't open the game. Removed Supplementaries and game works just fine. So the problem seems to me it's in Supplementaries as yours run perfectly with other 145 mods.

Just released v2.0.3 which should hopefully fix this mod being falsely reported for others' crashes. Please try it out and lmk if it works for you!
