The quest book's Coke Oven recipe in the Modern Industrialization section will not yield Creosote as-is because there's no fluid output hatch, which will block progress on getting a Lubricant Bucket to finish the Cutting Machine quest until that output hatch is added.

I'm not sure if this is intentional to prod players to do a little research outside of the quest book or not.

I know how it works-- you can also put the hatch into the multiblock itself and run piping if you're so inclined-- but for players who haven't done it before, the quest book might lead to a little frustrated Googling instead of clearly drawing the line between "coke oven makes creosote, which you can extract with the fluid output" and "you need that to drop it in the Mixer for the cutting machine quest."
