whenever a machine from indrev is placed or an item is placed the game crashes and then whenever the I try to join again in that world it immediately crashes with the only way to access the world again is to remove indrev.

Updating to 1.1.3 should fix the issue. Otherwise, you can replace the current Industrial Revolution file with the one pinned in discord in #all-of-fabric-5
