Farsight is a great mod for playing on servers. Caches chunks clientside so you can increase clientside render distance with minimal performance hits to the client and none to servers.

This screenshot is taken on the NA South server with 32 render distance. I was still getting 60 FPS with shaders on.

I also would like to suggest replacing Phosphor with Starlight instead.
