following up on #395

it looks like 0.5 was actually released like 20 hours after that ticket

i tried naively just switching to 0.5 in the manifest.json but it crashes when I try to place track (i'm in creative in case that matters)

(after writing the rest of the ticket)
I saw Fabricators-of-Create/Create#489 and updated iris, that seems to have fixed at least that crash
