using the latest version i cannot craft coal dust in the millstone as it has 3 recipes for coal 2 for dust and 1 for dye and it just makes dye. due to this cannot progress in to tech mod.

You should be able to hammer it to just either on an Forge Anvil from MI or a Macecator from another mod.

I noticed this as well, create only gives dye.
