[Bug]: Productive Bees wont use (advanced) bee hives

What happened?
I have placed some hives in a bee enclosure, but the productive bees are not using any of the hives (Vanilla or Advanced). However, the vanilla bees are working as expected. The nests also work, and when I place a nest nearby, they immediately fly into it. But they ignore the hives.
It seems there is an issue with the production bee mod, as similar issues have been created on the mod issue tracker.
