[Bug]: Player dealing damage to mobs/players in close proximity

What happened?

2 of the players on my server are having problems where they deal damage to any mob or player they walk up to and touch.
I have tried having them empty their inventory and die to make sure no effects/items were in play and it does not seem to fix it.
This have been hapening since before the 2.19 update atleast, i have no idea as of now when the problem started.

Jellyfish curio/artifact/relic does this and could be the cause. It's a light blue necklace that looks like this:

choekstr thanks that is not the cause here tho, the are carrying no items at all and it still causes it.

2.22 update still causes it

it is also mobs like fish and bee running into each other and take damage....so u cant breed bee, because they die in the process.

Wait, it was touch before, now it's other entities running into each other? You stated "fish and bee running into each other"?

I have a relic in my curio slot that also does proximity damage to unholy mobs (called the holy locket) so when I get close to bad mobs they take damage and die but that's probably not what they are experiencing.

The Jellyfish necklace is touch based and if you meant the fish and bee's touching them cause them damage then that's still my guess and they probably have it in a curio slot (it won't be in their inventory nor is it an effect) but assume you checked this thoroughly.

i know all of the Relics/artifacts. it is all entities on the Server taking damage if they collide. has nothing to do with Relics at all. Unless it is a bug triggered by the mod.

Yeah, then that is indeed odd if they are colliding and taking damage. Like an effect has been applied to the mobs...

Does it affect NPC's I wonder?
Does it happen when they aren't around?
Does the whole server constantly have mobs dying and respawning?

Definitely not right and I've got nothing; not that I expect to have anything, just thinking out loud at this point.

There are lines in the logs that suggest mobs was tried to add but was marked as removed se lines at about 8220

These are what i can see tho related to players joining.

As other areas/mobs its as far as i can se only consistent with them and around them.
