What happened?
Every single time "saving world" pops up in the bottom right corner, my game freezes. i myself can move, but i cant interact with anything. jade will not show what block im looking at when this happens unless its a purely decorational block like grass. the time it takes to save varys as well. sometimes its very quick, and others it takes minutes. any damage taken in this time period is later nearly doubled when it tops saving and sends me flying at least 10 blocks. if i hit a mob while saving, or break a block, it sometimes gets hit/breaks after its done saving, but not always. i have added mods however, some including: iris neoforge, (which i know can be buggy but i dont think any of these are the problem) sodium neoforge, controlify, easy villagers cause it got removed, and travelers backpacks. i also added additional enchanted miner, but the freeze-saves were happening way before i added that. i cant seem to find what mod may do the auto saves, but if ANYONE knows which one it is, please let me know so i can remove it immediately.

I have the same problem. It is saving every 5 minutes or so. I thought it might have something to do with simplebackups, so I removed that mod. It still kept saying "saving world" in the right bottom corner.
I found that by re-adding easy villagers, it made it save more often. Also, having mekanism multi block machines makes it so that the chunk that has it takes longer to save. I'm still unsure what makes it say saving world in the bottom right
It's a NeoForge thing:
[21aug2024 11:05:08.131] [Server thread/DEBUG] [net.neoforged.neoforge.common.CommonHooks/WP]: Gathered mod list to write to world save "World"
Every 5 minutes
I just want to comment, I also had this issue. I didnt realize my instance folder was on my secondary HDD, which is a mechanical drive. I moved my instance folder to my SSD main drive and have yet to run into the save issues. Just my two cents in case anyone else comes across this issue. It could be your drive isnt fast enough to save and is creating a lag spike while trying to do so.
