What happened?
Using copy paste gadget with drawer controller as bound inv crashes server. It may just be an issue with the copy-paste gadget in general, unrelated to the drawer controller, but figured it was a significant detail. Not really looking to continue trying to reproduce error (its happened twice).

Tried with diamond barrel as bound inv. It did successfully bind to the inventory and placed like 8 blocks, but then server was unresponsive and crashed. Server hardware is certainly not lacking/under-provisioned.
