What happened?

Game freezes for a second when it reaches 66% memory usage over and over ever 10 secs

I have the same problem :-(

i have noticed the same behavior too. i think it started for me with RC2/1 or 1.0. i have tried reducing the maximum memory but wasnt able to fix the issue. the behavior observed in F3 is really really absurd. happy for any ideas about this!

edit: my friend, i share a server with, doesnt have these problems.

i dont know if it works for you but after getting optifine it wasnt as bad but still there sometimes
