What happened?

Placing down a market in farming for blockheads spawns in a villager subtype, who I'm assuming is supposed to remain at the market. He did that for some time before I placed down the stone anvil from silent gear, which I suppose he found to be rather pretty and now resides at. Unfortunately I will now have to kill him, but I figured I'd get the word out not to place any nice looking pieces of stone near him. He has a somewhat strange attraction to them.

I've always thought the market looks a bit ugly too.

It doesn't matter if the villager is alive or not, you can trade at the Market. Also another villager spawns every time the market is placed and dies when it is broken.
