i put the "allthemods 3 v.4.0" into my minecraft, yet when i open minecraft and press play on "1.12.2-forge1.12.2-14.23.0.2493 -" mods dont show up

soo... the game is crashing upon launch. https://help.twitch.tv/customer/en/portal/articles/2764214-specific-errors-with-minecraft#UseJarLauncher .at the end it says to update my graphics card drivers, but gives help with windows, not mac (is mac suppoted??)

That log looks like you're trying to launch a pack called "The Simple Life 2" not one of our "All The Mods" packs.

Some steps to try would be downloading / updated the latest 64bit version of Java and also in twitch settings, minecraft settings, launch method select "USE JAR LAUNCHER" and also make sure you have at least 4GB of RAM allocated for the pack (for any of our "All The Mods" packs, 5gb+ recommended)

Typically our packs are played using a launcher. The most commonly used one is the Twitch App (formerly the Curse app) and is the "official" one since our packs are hosted on Curse. This link should be a walkthrough for the Twitch launcher.

We encourage other launchers as well such as MultiMC but support is more limited from us as we don't have a lot of experience with non-Twitch launchers.

If you are wanting to not use a modpack launcher at all, it SHOULD still be possible if you have the proper version of forge installed you can copy all the mods and configs and scripts and files from the SERVER FILES download that we offer into your client folder. This would be the most complex method and would make updating tedious, manual very complicated compared to using a modpack launcher but should still be possible
