When trying to create a new waypoint, if you delete all characters in the field, the client will hard crash. It doesn't seem to effect anyone else on the server, and you can log back in without problem. This problem doesn't occur when trying to rename the point from it's default to whatever you choose, as the waypoint name still has at least one character in it.
