Once launching the game from the minecraft launcher, the game will crash.

Steps taken thus far

  1. Reinstall the pack
  2. Try several lower version of the pack
  3. Update Java JRE
  4. Reinstall Java JRE

Same issue, other mod pack worked either in the day

Ok, we seem to have a solution now pinned in atm7-help channel of the ATM discord, copying here for convivence

For those having Exit code 1 (Invalid java runtime configuration) on a fresh install from curse. First make sure you've allocated at least 8GB of ram to MC, via the pic below, also clear out any additional arguments that might be there, (and could be wrong) Finally, if the above does not work, head to \Curseforge\Install, and delete the entire "install" folder, and then press play in curse, and that folder should reinstall Or try to update java 8 and 17, https://github.com/AllTheMods/ATM-6/wiki/Java-Versions

Already up to date and that doesn't fix it either.

the final extreme option that some users have found to work, is to remove the curseforge folder and reinstall it

Still didn't work for me sadly.

I fixed my issue by generating a Minecraft 1.18.2 instance on MultiMC.
Then I proceeded to install 40.1.31 forge to it.
Deleted the curseforge/minecraft/Install/libraries folder to then replace it with my MultiMC libraries folder.

I have the same issue as unicornbloods. Just got a new PC, fresh windows install, tried to install minecraft with all the mods 7 and get the exact same behaviour. Tried the same solutions (except the MultiMC one) and still not working

Do you have enough ram allocated?

-Xmx10048m -Xms256m -Dminecraft.applet.TargetDirectory="C:\Users\Wesley\curseforge\minecraft\Instances\All the Mods 7 - ATM7 - 1.18.2" -Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true -Dfml.ignoreInvalidMinecraftCertificates=true -Duser.language=en -Duser.country=US

10GB max.

Also i have tried with -Xms at a higher setting

I have the same problem

oh got it working it seems.
What I did different was, this time when I unistalled everything I checked better if any files were left over and deleted them (swear I did this before). This includes minecraft, mod and forge. When I installed forge again I choose a different mod folder. Instead of being minecraft I called it minecraft2.

Keep also in mind I made sure to set RAM to 10GB before launching.

I feel like something got corrupted because I was launching the game, it was doing the initial big download when you hit play from the minecraft launcher (mods already installed, never launched normal minecraft) and had to restart my PC so I closed the launcher.

So this worked fer me. just searched up minecraft on this pc and deleted everything. worst case, I just redownload whats needed right?

Reluanched curse forge and signed back in (it deleted saved profiles as well) then downloaded ATM7.
I deleted all excess arguments as well, I only left xmx and xms. bada bing bada boom it works now
