Specifically when trying to Shift click items into crafting UIs, more items that were not selected, will be transferred into a slot in the crafting grid. From what i noticed, the extra items transferred are 1 or 2 squares below the item I'm trying to transfer. This does not happen when transferring items into chests of any kind, only crafting grids, be it a crafting table or my inventory crafting grid.

I'd love to find a solution for this problem, as its quite irritating to deal with. Any help is appreciated.

Also having this problem. Really annoying when you're trying to shift+click multiple stacks of items into a Tinkers' smeltery & it puts my tools into it.

I didn't find a fix for the issue itself, but I did quickly learn of a workaround. This problem doesn't appear when shift+clicking into chest inventories, so for my Tinkers' Smeltery example, I just attached an "input chest" with a Pipez item pipe to extract items from the chest & input into the smeltery.

Hmm, come here to mention the same and found this issue, labelled by a bot as "wontfix" 3 hours ago. :-S I hope someone reverts that; I'm having the same issue @DarkDanny is having, shift-clicking ore into my smeltery winds up with a bunch of torches being inserted as well.

For anyone looking into this issue, it seems that the error is caused by the mod Inventory Profiles Next (1.7.1).

A quick way to solve this is to open the config GUI on the game (hit E and below the trash can icon at the top left of the screen you should see another button that should say "Opens Inventory Profiles Next general configuration" when hovering), in there, change the Shift key bind to something that is not used.

That solved the issue for me, hopefully the mod authors can configure the mod to avoid this in the future.

If possible, just disable the whole thing.

It was also interfering with the Shift click to crafting tables and other menus, had to go into each configuration menu for that mod and disable the whole thing (I don't even use those options to being with).
