I have updated java just to be sure. tried installing installed forge 39.0.43 in the libraries folder. Still getting the error. Any suggestions?

I got the same issue.. But another issue has been reported and now my server is running.
Make sure to use JDK 17.0.2 (or newest version) : https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/
I forced the script to use this version instead of JRE 1.8 by editing line 192 of server-setup-config.yaml

What is the difference between normal java and that one? never need to install it with my 1.16 server
Like a fool I was updating the other java and I didn't understand why it didn't work lol
