After downloading ATM7, whenever I try to launch, I get this error.

I got that error too. I still am not able to fix it no matter what I try. I think it's because I updated to Java 8u322

I downgraded the Java but still the error persisted but when I used FTB launcher or MultiMC, the problem wasn't there

you need java 17 to run 1.18

Maybe it is being used an invalid argument to launch.
I got this error using the argument "-XX:+AggressiveOpts". After removing it the game launched properly for me.
