Using a Windows 10 based ATM7 server, and separate instance for the client, I have generated two different worlds, and in neither do mobs like cows, pigs, chickens, etc. spawn, outside of village enclosures. I've explored vast territory including vanilla biomes.

Same for me, except they spawn in vanilla biomes but rare. Do you have the problem, that spawners don't spawn entities?

It looks like the new version notes says it is fixed; I haven't had a chance to test myself but these folks are really sharp and I'm sure they fixed it.
For what it is worth, spawners were spawning for me.

Hey, i had the same problem and my solution is to play 2 versions older.
