Old world errors because of removed bonsai trees

I upgraded from 0.3.13 to 0.3.14, and when trying to load an old world got this error (taken from multimc)
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unbound values in registry ResourceKey[minecraft:root / minecraft:dimension_type]: [bonsaitrees3:growtown]
even searching and deleting everything with the word bonsai from the instance folder didn't fix the issue. I'm going to roll back
I would be interested to know if this applies to newly generated worlds, but I didn't think to test it before I started the rollback

Same thing here
I'm also having the same issue, server isn't crashing but wont start, Getting this error, looks as if its exactly the same one as you guys are getting:
[main/WARN] [net.minecraft.server.Main/]: Failed to load datapacks, can't proceed with server load. You can either fix your datapacks or reset to vanilla with --safeMode
java.util.concurrent.ExecutionException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unbound values in registry ResourceKey[minecraft:root / minecraft:dimension_type]: [bonsaitrees3:growtown]
Might be an idea to revert back to the previous version since I now know its not just me having this issue.
I have the same issue and all I did was add the bonsi tree mod back in. All works fine with the 0.3.14 version and the world is back online and we are all able to log in. Just remember to let people know they will also need to install the bonsie tree mod into there own games mod folder. Hope this helps :)
Wait so this mod is just decorative plants?.. So they pulled this over someone duping trees and coral? Causing everyone headaches trying to fix world files over that?...
Ah never thought of just adding the mod back and here I am trying to get a backup up and running again with a few hitches...
Or do this if you dont want to re add bonsie trees mod
Open your world folder with NBTExplorer, open level.dat > Data > WorldGenSettings > Dimensions , delete bonsaitree's entry and save

It solved here.

I was going to add it back anyway cus I use it (and don't dupe stuff), so I also found that to be the obvious solution the second I saw "missing bonsai.." thing
I was getting an error saying that my world couldn't open because of a bad data source. While reading these comments I added Bonsaitrees back & PROBLEM SOLVED! I also do not dup items. In fact I didn't realize that MOD caused dups. Thanks for the suggestion on how t resolve the issue without a TON of work or restarting my world.
also thanks ... now i know before updating. :)
edit to add: interesting, they've got a fork from over a week ago for 1.18.1 that seems to be for the dupe issue. >>shrugs<<
