The mining laser won't mine or even highlight the blocks of ores that are in "other" dimension stone. It will highlight and mine the surrounding blocks but not the ones with ores.

all ores from allthemodium require mining by hand. Also, in the other, any ore in ancient stone must also be mined by hand. By design, not a bug
