Main fork of Iron Chests got a stable 1.18.2 update two days ago. Is it necessary to / possible to replace the fork with the original?

This has already been recommended in the Mod Suggestion post. I also would like to bring your attention to this, which was a reply to the original post.

With one of the newer updates to Iron Chests: Restocked modpack makers can "make" chests from any materials, (using datapacks in a similar way to how Resourceful Bees worked) and that means that Allthemodium, Vibranium, and Unobtainium chests could actually be a thing. (otherwise just use Sophisticated Storage, as it does everything way better)
