I am playing on a single-player world and the wood to iron upgrade for iron chests does not do anything when I attempt to use it. I have tried right-clicking the chest and punching the chest with the upgrade in my main and off-hand. I also tried crafting a chest with the upgrade and nothing works.

I am having this issue as well. I tried Shift-right clicking; right-clicking; using the upgrade with a chest in crafting table. The Iron to Gold upgrade works fine and creating an iron chest works fine.
