This is a very strange and confusing issue. I noticed it when searching for "carpet" in JEI. If you type the letter R, then P, in rapid succession, it prints the text Created new 'Saved' profile....

This can be entered into regular chat, into JEI, or into a digital inventory like Refined Storage.

My keybinds have the default 'r' for JEI Show Recipe, and nothing assigned to 'p'. Most other keys have been unbound.

Nothing comes up if I search the string online. I haven't tested to see what is actually being saved, if anything.

The plot thickens. Typing "rg" into JEI specifically produces even stranger results.

A crosshair appears over the cursor, with lines going to all ends of the screen. The initial tutorial text shows up in the bottom-left corner, and some debug information appears in the top-right. All of this overlays the inventory/JEI screens, though they cannot be interacted with.

As before, my 'G' key was unbound and shouldn't be invoking any mod.

So I wonder if the 'R' key sets up some sort of listener for a debug input. I tried combining with other keys, but haven't found any other combinations yet.

I believe these are hotkeys for "Inventory Profiles", which are controlled via that mod's in-game config menu, not the global key binds.

Nice find! That has to be it.

It seems like their hotkey detection isn't very good. It actives when keys are pressed closely together, which creates problems for fast typers. It also runs in some text fields which is not right.

I like a few of the features provided like item scrolling, broken tool replacement, and middle clicking to sort inventories. But a lot of the advanced features like profiles and villager bookmarks seem like overkill. I'll go through and unbind or disable these features to avoid problems.

Cheers for the help. This solves it for me, but I'll leave this issue open at the maintainer's discretion in case they wish to address the reported issues as well.
