In mid mv you're supposed to make hot silicon ingots for the transistors, but the hot silicon ingots to process in the EBF, require Kanthal coils instead of Cupronikkel.

Actually, progression is not locked, because you're able to make kanthal, it's just weird because it is an EV quest
