What happened?

Hello, I recently started playing ATM9 and made a server where me and my friends can play together. I'm a big fan of magic and I found the Mahou Tsukai mod really interesting. However, some of the spells don't work, including the beam from the staff of explosion and some other spells like durability exchange. I can draw the spells but the circle doesn't spin.
