What happened?

Picked up extended pattern provider (flat) with ME packing tape and placed it on a GT machine, then connected with cable. Despite pattern providers right next to it showing online, the device remains offline. There are available channels, system has power, and I did wait for the system to finish booting. The issue does not resolve unless you wrench/break the pattern provider and place it back down, which isn't the biggest inconvenience but defeats the purpose of using the ME packing tape to save the contained patterns.
