What happened?

Upon updating multiple mods via the Forge loader, when loading into the saved world it would get as far as displaying "joining world..." and then CTD with the following info:

The game crashed whilst unexpected error
Error: org.spongepowered.asm.mixin.transformer.throwables.MixinTransformerError: An unexpected critical error was encountered
