Just a visual bug when using the Imbuement Chamber. The item placed into the imbuement chamber will show as being closer to yourself and to the right of the center of the chamber. It is still in the chamber, and it still works. To pick it up, you actually do have to click on the center of the chamber to pick it up.

I saw this in 0.55, and it is still in 0.56. I believe the Ars Nouveau version is 1.20.1-4.2.4
