Sussy Bee deletes Soul Sand instead of converting it into Suspicious Soul Sand

As the title suggests, I have been experiencing an awfully consistent issue with the Sussy Bee from Productive Bees.

When placed in a hive in a Bastion in the Nether, inside of a room made entirely of Soul Sand, eventually Soul Sand blocks will just disappear. They do not get converted into Suspicious Soul Sand blocks that I can use an archaeology block on.

This is in ATM 9 Version 0.2.9
Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Place a Hive inside of a bastion.
  2. Create a 4x3x4 room around the hive made of soul sand.
  3. Release a Sussy Bee inside this room.
  4. Wait until Sussy Bee triggers a change in block state
