[Bug Report]: Personal shrinking device causes lag

Describe your issue.
Since updating to 1.12.2 today, I noticed performance drops dramatically whenever the shrinking device is rendered in Hotbar or Jade. From an average of 100 FPS to less than 30.
The same happens in a flat world.
If the item is floating around, and I don't look at it, all is well.
As soon as it is in the Hotbar or I look at it and Jade shows it, performance worsens.
