compact machines in the modpack are currently useless, as the version used is version 7 of compact machines, which removes all interaction between the inside and outside of a compact machine, there is no way to pipe items into or out of a machine anymore.

I suggest that compact machines be downgraded to a version where this feature hasn't been removed, or to replace the mod with a different one (like hyperbox, although that one doesn't seem to be sending energy through it's sides, so maybe a different mod instead)

Why would you like this added/changed?

currently the only thing you can do with a compact machine is to have a very expensive room, which you can carry around, whereas the original use of this mod was to have a machine inside of it that can interact with things outside of it, which isn't possible anymore.

Entangoloper, Entangled blocks, wireless AE2, LaserIO... many ways to get stuff in and out.

That's simply untrue lol. I have all of my functional storage drawers in a compact machine connected to AE2 via quantum ring and it works great.

Compact Machines allows for more customability in size. Plus, its less of a pain compared to hyperbox which creates a new dimension for every hyperbox that exists. Compact Machines will be getting an update soon that will re-implement methods of interacting with the outside world in a more refined way than the tunnels. Plus, there is no version with tunnels in 1.21.1, maybe not even 1.20.1. It was removed sometime in 2023 from message dates in their server. As SubordialBlue said, there are plenty of ways still.
